Medical supplies
You can receive medical supplies free of charge if you need them for the treatment or monitoring of a chronic illness for at least three months. The need for medical supplies is determined by a health care professional. They will prepare a treatment plan and provide you with a referral or order the medical supplies that are distributed free of charge.

Ordering supplies
The medical supplies you need on your first order will be recorded in the patient information system in the unit treating you. At the same time, you will receive instructions on how to place your first digital order.
Going forward, you will order the medical supplies yourself using a digital form. If you are unable to use the form, place the order by phone.
Order your supplies well in advance, as delivery may take 2–4 weeks. Order supplies for 1–6 months, depending on the product. If you do not already have the medical supply in regular use, only order a one-month supply.
Telephone numbers
You can ask the Pirkanmaa medical supplies service's telephone service for advice on medical supplies and place orders for medical supplies. There is a call-back service in place: we aim to call you back within 24 hours. The call will come from a private number.
The telephone service:
- 03 384 5203 and 03 384 5501, open Mon–Fri 8 - 12
Order form: Digital order form for medical supplies
You can also order medical supplies by logging into the OmaPirha service and filling in the medical supply order form there. Some preliminary information will already be pre-filled on your order form.

Delivery of supplies
Medical supplies will be delivered to a PostNord pick-up point or parcel locker of your choice. Supplies will not be delivered to a PostNord Lähiboksi located outdoors due to the risk of freezing. Choose a PostNord service point instead of a parcel locker if you are unable to collect your parcel from another locker in case the selected parcel locker is full.
Medical supplies can be delivered directly to your home in special cases, based on professional assessment. In addition, it is possible to make a home delivery agreement with some contract suppliers (for example, for nappies).
If you have an urgent need for medical supplies, call the medical supply service or contact your healthcare unit.
