Fees for digital services and remote appointment

Remote services

Social and health care services may include on-site visits, for example, to a care unit or a child welfare supervisor, but also digital personal services. Remote services are provided online, often using video and audio connections.

If no specific fee has been set for a remote service, the normal client fee for an appointment is charged.

If the service is free of charge, it is also free of charge when provided as a remote service.

Digital services contribute towards the payment ceiling in the same way as services based on an in-person appointment.

Digital clinic

The digital clinic has the same client fees as normal appointments: assessment of the need for treatment and remote appointments with a nurse are free of charge, while remote appointments with a physician are subject to a fee.

Telephone consultation

For information about the fees for telephone consultation, see the Health care fees -page.
