Personal peer support from One-To-One-Peer Supporter

Kuvaus

Autism Finland offers volunteer peer supporters who can help when your autism diagnosis is still new or when life changes feel challenging and you need support.

All our volunteers have personal experience with autism. They are parents of children on the autism spectrum, adults on the spectrum, or close relatives.

When to Reach Out:

You’re facing a new situation and haven’t found suitable peer support, for example in a support group.

You need someone to listen and talk with who understands from experience.

Peer support is short-term and tailored to your needs.

How It Works:

You can request contact for yourself or on behalf of someone else only if you have that person´s permission.

The service is nationwide and mainly provided via email and phone.

If you and the peer supporter live in the same area, you can arrange an in-person meeting if it suits both parties.
