The Summer Job Voucher is a support provided by the City of Tampere to help employers hire young people under the age of 18 for summer work. The voucher covers part of the young person’s salary. Each young person can receive one voucher per summer. The voucher is personal and cannot be transferred to someone else. The number of vouchers is limited and granted in the order of applications. The annual number of vouchers is confirmed each year.
Work supported by the Summer Job Voucher must be done between 1 May and 31 August. The employment period must be at least two weeks, with working hours ranging from 12 to 30 hours per week. The maximum daily working time is six hours. The salary must follow the applicable collective agreement.
The salary must be at least 400 euros, and any additional compensation must be paid on top of this and itemized on the payslip.

If you are a young person applying for a summer job and you wish to apply for the Summer Job Voucher, you must complete the application together with the employer before you start working. The form is available on the City of Tampere’s updated Kesäduuni website under the section Kesätyöseteli. The voucher can be applied for from 1 April to 31 July 2026. The form becomes available when the application period starts.
After the summer job has ended, the employer must separately apply for the payment of the voucher. In 2026, the payment application must be submitted between 1 June and 20 September 2026. This form can also be found on the Kesäduuni website under Kesätyöseteli. Late applications will not be accepted.
Kenelle ja millä ehdoin
The employer must have a Finnish business ID (y-tunnus). The employer may be, for example, a company, an association, a parish, or a foundation. The voucher cannot be used for jobs within the municipality or the state.
You may apply for the Summer Job Voucher if you are at least 15 years old or turn 15 in 2026. You must also remain under 18 for the entire duration of the summer job. Your municipality of residence must be Tampere. The voucher can only be used for one summer job. If you have already received a summer internship or another summer job from the City of Tampere, you are not eligible to apply.
